Del Mar is one of the major thoroughbred racetracks in the United States, which is counted amongst the top 10 horse racing venues in the country. The Del Mar Fairgrounds is located in California at the seaside city of Del Mar. The seating capacity of the venue is 44,000. Considering those in the western states of the United States, Del Mar is the second largest racetrack after Santa Anita Park.

The State of California owns Del Mar race course and given in lease to Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, which operates the racetrack. Races at De Mar runs five days a week during seasons and the off days Monday and Tuesday. You can enjoy the excitement at best from Wednesday through Sunday. The first race is usually scheduled for 2 PM; however, on Fridays, the first post may be at 4 PM.

You may also enjoy easy access to the amenities and concert goer services. There are catch shows also held all Fridays and also on some Saturdays or Sundays. You can enter into these concerts for free on hold the racetrack admission tickets but should enter the gates before last race.
